🚨 NIAGARA REGION: LABOUR & ALLIES 🚨

TOMORROW at 4:30 p.m., join us for the first opportunity for workers and residents across Niagara to stand together and say: our communities are not bargaining chips.

The Ford government and Conservative insiders are once again pushing an undemocratic, self-serving agenda that threatens to erase local voices and weaken our communities.

The people who provide public services in Niagara – and the families who rely on them – deserve respect, transparency, and democracy.

Let’s send a clear message to Bob and Doug:
πŸ‘‰ You picked the wrong communities to bully.
πŸ‘‰ Hands off Niagara.

When working people stand together, we win.

See you Thursday. ✊

Our Secretary Treasurer is at the CUPE Ontario Secretary Treasurers conference. Dani always enjoys this conference and learns so much. We cannot wait to see what she bring back to our local this year. Hear her report back at the March meeting on March 9th.

At our last General Membership Meeting we passed a motion to support families in need for the holidays, which is being organized by local Indigenous activist Fallon Farinacci. All these fun goodies will be going to 51 people for their Christmas stockings.

Hi 2977 members!

On Wednesday your local Bargaining Committee and National Rep met for the first time in order to prepare for our upcoming round of negotiations.

It was a productive day. We reviewed our successes of last round and discussed some goals for this round.
We also began creating our bargaining survey - more information will be coming out soon about the survey so stay tuned!

If you have any questions or want to know more, feel free to connect with any of the Bargaining Committee members.

In Solidarity,
Heather Francey, Chantel Klunder, Christina Cramp, Brittany Nisbett, and Kaitlynn Bennett
