Did you know the ideal indoor temperature for older adults is 68–70°F (20–21°C)? Seniors can lose body heat faster and may not notice when a room is getting too cold. A chilly home can increase the risk of falls, illness, or even hypothermia.

This season, be sure to:
• Keep the thermostat at a safe temperature
• Seal drafts around windows and doors
• Encourage warm layers and cozy blankets
• Check in often on elderly loved ones
