Working on the “L” sound?

Sarah is back with another Speech Cue! If your child’s jaw moves along with their tongue at the end of words, try the Jaw Freeze cue to help keep the jaw still.

Let the tongue do the work while the jaw stays still.

Are you joining us for ?

There’s limited space remaining at some of the exciting events we have planned! Youth can discover their voice with Momentum Choir or join us for a Mario Kart Tournament. Kids can pack their favourite stuffie for our camping adventure, and the whole family can head outdoors for Geocaching.

Whether you're looking to get active, get creative, or simply spend quality time together, there’s something for everyone next week!

When we give, we gain 💜

This , the theme reminds us that generosity fuels gender equality. Every act of support creates a ripple effect — expanding opportunity, increasing visibility, and advancing women and girls everywhere.

When we give our time, our voices, our mentorship, and our advocacy, we multiply opportunity.

Giving isn’t a subtraction — it’s intentional growth. And when women thrive, we all rise.

Ready, set… play! 🫧

Kristina, an Occupational Therapist at the Children’s Centre, shares how “play with props” can spark connection, joy, and skill-building at home. These are activities that need you — your help, your interaction, your energy. And that’s the magic. Unlike toys that compete for attention, prop play brings the focus back to shared moments.

Today, we honour warriors like Eden 💜

Eden from Port Colborne lives with Coffin-Siris Syndrome (ARID1A) — a rare diagnosis with only about 500 people on the registry worldwide. Her journey has included a G-tube, weakened motility, and countless medical appointments.

And yet, through it all, Eden remains incredibly resilient. She smiles. She loves. She brings joy to everyone around her.

Behind every rare diagnosis is a remarkable child and a story of courage the world deserves to see.

Emilia is finding her voice! 💜

Three-year-old Emilia from Niagara Falls was diagnosed with Prader–Willi syndrome shortly after birth. Since then, she has been supported by a caring team at the Children’s Centre through speech, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy. Recently, she’s made incredible progress — her speech is clearer and more confident, she’s having conversations with new people, dressing herself with pride, and walking up and down the stairs with growing strength and independence.

Prader–Willi syndrome is only one small part of who Emilia is — she is smart, determined, and unstoppable.

Blades of Glory! ⛸️

From their first moments on the ice to confident laps around the rink, it was incredible seeing families laugh, learn, and make memories together. Huge thanks to our staff and volunteers who helped make Friday’s PD Day Skate welcoming and fun for skaters of all abilities.

We love creating spaces where families can connect, build confidence, and just enjoy being together.
