About Cliff Turner, LCT-C
I take a person-centered approach to therapy, helping clients recognize their strengths and move toward the life they envision—one that feels grounded, balanced, and fulfilling. I work with individuals, couples, and families, drawing from cognitive behavioural, narrative, and emotion-focused therapies to support people as they manage stress, navigate transitions, and strengthen relationships.

With over 25 years of teaching experience, I bring patience, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s unique journey. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Education from the University of New Brunswick in addition to a Masters in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I am registered with the CCTNB.

Alongside my counselling work, I’m a visual artist and professional painter, and a martial artist of more than 30 years—both practices that connect me to the balance between creativity, mindfulness, and emotional well-being.

I offer sessions in person, online, or by phone, and aim to provide a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.

Most of know someone who has struggled with thoughts of su***de. It is important to break the stigma associated with this topic and understand these thoughts are not uncommon when dealing with psychological distress. One thing each of us can practice is offering support without judgement.

On September 10th, Médecins NB Docs recognizes World Su***de Prevention Day. Today serves as an important reminder of the need to prioritize mental health, to take time for self-care, and to show compassion and support to those around us. Every conversation, every moment of listening, and every act of kindness can make a difference in someone’s life.
