A multi-talented Halifax-based music ensemble that weaves old-school rhythm and blues, soul, and funk with contemporary urban rhymes and beats, NuGruv draws on influences from Aretha Franklin, Luther Vandross, Alicia Keys, Jocelyn Brown, Curtis Mayfield, and many others!

This group of nine dynamic musicians delivers non-stop excitement! Enthusiasm and energy best describe this funky, upbeat dance band.

The band features an exceptional five-piece rhythm section, three incredible horn players (trumpet, saxophone, and trombone), and a female vocalist who always delivers a “show-stopping” performance.
