Screening is important as cancers are easier to treat and less likely to spread when detected early. The Canadian Cancer Society recommends that between the ages of 40 and 74, women, both cis and trans, as well as non-binary and gender-diverse people with breast tissue, should be screened for breast cancer every two years.

Another great week at The Foundation!

We were happy to welcome Kim Middleton from Saint John LNG and host a short tour of our mammography department as well as discuss our campaign . Thoughtful and insightful conversations make us all stronger!

We also had the pleasure of welcoming Mayor Donna Reardon to the Foundation, also touring the facility with the focus on Women's Health. We appreciate the time we were able to spend with the Mayor - thank you for forming strong community connections.

We received a wonderful gift from the Scotia McLeod Charitable Foundation! Thank you to Kim Beaton for this generous gift on behalf of their employees. A little can go a LONG way in helping your hospital. If you would like your business to participate in our monthly giving program, email stjoesfoundation@horizonnb.ca.

And finally, we really appreciate Iona Coe taking time from their busy day to host a radio interview surrounding our current fundraiser - . It was fun!

Next week is March Break, but we have many visits and conversations planned - all in support of St. Joseph's Hospital.

Stay tuned!

Throwback Thursday for Hockey Fans!

Yes, this picture was snapped at St. Joe's and shows a few familiar faces. Do you recognize any of them?

We have narrowed it down to "late 80's" but if you remember the year, share it!
