Loch Lomond Villa Foundation The success of the Foundation is due to support from individuals, organizations, firms and service clubs.

Donors can direct their contributions to either general support of the Villa, or to a designated area. Its purpose is to raise funds for various equipment, educational and special programs for residents that are not funded by Government. The Foundation does not provide funds to cover operating costs incurred by the Villa.

Music therapy can greatly enhance the quality of life for residents living in long-term care. Music can evoke memories, lift mood, and create meaningful emotional connections, even for those living with cognitive changes such as dementia. Through listening, singing, and rhythm, music therapy can reduce anxiety, encourage social interaction, and provide comfort, joy, and a sense of connection.

We are proud to share an exciting milestone for the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation and Loch Lomond Villa Research Department. In the Fall of 2025, we launched its first-ever Staff Grant Opportunity – LLV Discover to Care!

This new initiative was designed to empower staff to bring forward innovative, evidence-informed ideas that enhance resident well-being and improve quality of care. By placing resident needs at the heart of research and improvement efforts, Discover to Care supports meaningful, staff-led change across our community.

We are thrilled to congratulate the three staff-led project teams selected as this year’s grant recipients. Their ideas demonstrated creativity, collaboration, and a strong commitment to improving the lives of residents. These funded projects reflect the passion and dedication of our staff and the powerful impact that frontline innovation can have in long-term care.
