Get baking and fuel up with this deliciously nutritious twist on a classic favorite!
Simply's High Protein Banana Bread:
• 1 1/2 cup Unbleached flour
• 1/2 cup SFL Vanilla Protein Powder
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 3/4 tsp baking powder
• 3/4 tsp Himalayan salt
• 1/2 tsp cinnamon
• 2 cups mashed overripe banana
• 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
• 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
• 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
• ½ to ¾ cup chocolate chips and/or walnuts
Grease a 9×5 loaf pan, and line the bottom with parchment paper (you can also put in large muffin tins for individual portions). Preheat the oven to 350F.
Stir all ingredients together, smooth the batter into the pan, and bake for 40 minutes. Turn the oven off, but do not open the door. Leave the protein banana bread in the closed oven for an additional five minutes. Depending on your oven, If yours is still soft in the center for some reason (climate, uncalibrated oven, etc.), cover the top with tin foil and continue baking until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
Let completely cool, then go around the sides with a knife and invert onto a plate.
*Measure the bananas and liquid elements precisely - if too wet, the middle will sink after you remove from the oven.*
