After a conversation over zoom that was intended to be a donation request it quickly flipped in to a request to guest speak.

I have done a few speaking events but never of this magnitude! I’m super excited as it is something I am passionate about!
Self understanding!

If you have time come check out this event in Innisfree.

It’s a full days event surrounded by women.

I am honoured & so blessed to be invited 💕

Throwback 2017: From hating myself thin… to loving myself healthy

My whole life dieting never crossed my mind, it wasn’t even in my vocabulary.
It actually felt repulsive.

I ate what I wanted- junk food mostly and took part in some sports, the occasional walk which kept me seemingly healthy.
I had the mind frame that if I was active that I could eat what I wanted.

I didn’t realize there was such a food relationship that had to be uncovered.
That my way of thinking was skewed.

You can’t be healthy by consuming things that are polluting your body.
And it did eventually catch up to me, it always does right?

I had 2 babies and was approaching my 30’s and my body felt so far gone.
I could feel the lumps and bumps.
I felt uncomfortable in my skin.
I tried to cover it up with my clothing and even they didn’t feel right- what the heck was happening with fashion?

I had no confidence, I wasn’t happy and I was sick all of the time.
Colds, gut issues, you name it I caught it.

Enough was enough and when I decided to make a change it was small steps.
Choosing an item here or there for me to eat that was healthy.

Then the more I did it the more I was empowered to make healthier choices.
The easier it became to get in a daily work out, I was addicted to the results.

And now my whole family eats what I eat, I don’t make special meals for anyone.
I love the skin I am in, I am fit, healthy and happy.
I am more at peace with myself. 🙏

📞 Calling all Mama's!
Guess what's back!
MAMAS GOT MUSCLES !!

It's crazy for me to think about all the past postpartum mama's in this original group, how they have grown , their babies now in school or daycare . And one of our own mama's from these classes will be leading her very own group!

This is one I am passionate for , maternity leave , stay at home mom, shift work mom with free daytime looking to connect and get their kids out to play with others while they get in a feel good workout!

Did you know that excercise can significantly decrease the chances of developing and also improve postpartum depression!?
Back that with building a community of mama's going through similar territory having discussions, sharing stories and just that connection ...this is Power House .

Work to your own level , if this is all new to you we will help you choose appropriate weight to build strength through consistency and build back those core muscles.

Our newest instructor Renee Miller , mother of two on a maternity leave will be our Thursdays class trainer ! Her passion for health and wellness is one to be admired and backed with a Personal training certification and a Postpartum excercise certification, she is the perfect fit!

About Me

Hi there! My name is Christal Brodziak. I am born and raised in St. Paul, a small rural community 2 hours northeast of Edmonton. I have been a Registered Nurse since 2006 working in our small rural hospital on the Med/Surg and Obstetrical unit combined.

After having my first child in 2011 and struggling with breastfeeding with a later preterm infant, lacking the proper support, I had a renewed passion in my nursing career. I took a position in Public Health in 2013 and started diving in to all things breastfeeding related.

When I had my second daughter in 2014, I felt better prepared, but I still struggled with ulcers on my ni***es, plugged ducts, misdiagnosis and eventually was referred to a Lactation Consultant who diagnosed my inverted ni***es. You can just imagine how surprised I was and a little defeated because I should’ve known, should’ve been better prepared, should’ve had the knowledge to know what to do. Well I chose to dive deeper in to breastfeeding, because I really feel like this is an area where so many lack the knowledge. I took hours of training, education and eventually applied for my International BoardLactation Certified Exam (IBLCE).

I ended up taking the exam in my first trimester with my 3rd baby. I was worried because of the complete Mom brain I was experiencing at the time. But luckily, I had worked hard before that and ended up getting Certified in December of 2019. Being Certified means the highest level of education in Lactation. I can work world wide and help Mom’s just like me who struggled to breastfeed their babies.
