✨ Denture Reline: What It Is & Why It Matters ✨

Over time, your mouth naturally changes — gums shrink, bone levels shift, and your denture that once fit perfectly may start to feel loose or uncomfortable. That’s where a denture reline comes in!

A reline refreshes the inside surface of your denture so it fits the current shape of your gums. We remove a small layer from the tissue side of the denture, take a new impression, and add new material to create a snug, comfortable fit again.

Why relines are important:
✔️ Improve comfort and stability
✔️ Reduce sore spots and irritation
✔️ Help your denture grip better for chewing and speaking
✔️ Extend the life of your existing denture
✔️ Support healthy oral tissues

Most patients need a reline every 2–3 years, or sooner after extractions as the mouth heals and changes quickly.

If your denture feels loose, rubs, or you’re using more adhesive than usual, it may be time for a reline. We’re here to help keep your smile feeling great! 😄🦷

✨ What Is a Partial Denture? ✨
A partial denture is a removable appliance designed to replace one or more missing teeth while preserving your natural smile. It attaches securely around your existing teeth, restoring both function and aesthetics.

✅ Improves your bite: By filling gaps, partials help distribute chewing forces evenly and prevent strain on remaining teeth.
✅ Maintains your arch: Replacing missing teeth prevents surrounding teeth from shifting out of position, helping preserve the natural shape of your jaw and face.
✅ Enhances appearance & confidence: A well-made partial denture blends seamlessly with your natural teeth for a beautiful, balanced smile.
✅ Supports oral health: By keeping your teeth properly aligned, partials make it easier to clean and maintain good oral hygiene.

Whether you’re missing one tooth or several, a partial denture can be a comfortable, affordable solution that keeps your smile—and your bite—in harmony. 💙

🦷 What is a Soft Denture (Moloplast)?

A soft denture, also known as a Moloplast denture, has a flexible, cushioned liner that sits against your gums — making it more comfortable for those with sore or sensitive tissues. This is mainly done on the lower dentures and is a good option for SOME candidates.

✅ Pros:

-Softer feel against the gums

-Great for patients with thin or tender ridges

-Helps reduce sore spots and pressure

⚠️ Cons:

-Can stain or absorb odors over time

-Requires gentle cleaning and maintenance

-May need to be replaced or relined more often than a regular denture

Soft liners can be a great option for comfort — especially if your gums are easily irritated by traditional hard acrylic dentures.

At your next consultation ask to see if you're a candidate.💗
