✨ Denture Reline: What It Is & Why It Matters ✨
Over time, your mouth naturally changes — gums shrink, bone levels shift, and your denture that once fit perfectly may start to feel loose or uncomfortable. That’s where a denture reline comes in!
A reline refreshes the inside surface of your denture so it fits the current shape of your gums. We remove a small layer from the tissue side of the denture, take a new impression, and add new material to create a snug, comfortable fit again.
Why relines are important:
✔️ Improve comfort and stability
✔️ Reduce sore spots and irritation
✔️ Help your denture grip better for chewing and speaking
✔️ Extend the life of your existing denture
✔️ Support healthy oral tissues
Most patients need a reline every 2–3 years, or sooner after extractions as the mouth heals and changes quickly.
If your denture feels loose, rubs, or you’re using more adhesive than usual, it may be time for a reline. We’re here to help keep your smile feeling great! 😄🦷
