Our residents had an absolute blast during Jenga time, cheering each other on, holding their breath with every move, and celebrating the big tumble at the end! We had a sweet time at the Ignite Youth Centre enjoying a delicious chocolate fondue experience! Everyone loved dipping fresh fruit, marshmallows, and treats into warm chocolate while sharing laughs and great conversation. Experiences like these remind us that fun (and chocolate!) are best when shared together.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make this outing so enjoyable. We’re already looking forward to the next adventure!

💙 Alzheimer’s Awareness Month – Supporting Dementia-Friendly Communities 💙

This month, Royal Oak Senior Living proudly recognizes Alzheimer’s Awareness Month and shines a light on the importance of building dementia-friendly communities.

We are honored to partner with Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners as we work together to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and support individuals and families living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. By learning more, showing compassion, and supporting one another, we can create communities where everyone feels understood, respected, and included.

Throughout the month, we encourage conversations, education, and simple acts of kindness, because awareness today helps create a more supportive tomorrow. 💙

His warm voice and beautiful guitar playing created such a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere for our residents. What a wonderful evening of music at Royal Oak Senior Living!

We were thrilled to welcome Jude Coyle for a lively and heartwarming performance that truly filled the room with joy. From toe-tapping tunes to sing-along favourites, Jude had residents smiling, clapping, and even sharing the microphone for a few special moments. The energy, laughter, and connection made it a night to remember.

We were truly honored to support our community by serving a hot, hearty brunch to the incredible youth at Ignite Youth Centre 💛

Sharing a meal is about more than food, it’s about connection, care, and showing up for one another. Seeing smiles, hearing laughter, and knowing we could play a small part in making the day brighter reminds us why community matters so much.
