A spring booster dose is recommended if your last dose or confirmed infection was 6+ months ago and you are:

▪ Pregnant
▪ 18+ and moderately to severely immunocompromised
▪ 18+ living in a congregate care setting for people with complex medical needs

For all of you that didn’t qualify for the EARLY 4th dose, now they are offering it based on your age. Yay!

Ontario is expanding eligibility for fourth doses of COVID-19 vaccine (https://bit.ly/3JfeuFK). ⬇️

Starting Thursday, April 7, individuals aged 60 and over as well as First Nation, Inuit & Métis individuals & their non-Indigenous household members aged 18 and over will be eligible for a fourth dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

NOTE: We encourage individuals to book an appointment online (https://www.covidvaccinelm.ca) starting Thursday, April 7 at 8AM to secure an appointment time. Walk ins are still available. The recommended interval between your third and fourth dose is 5 months. The minimum interval is 3 months.

The medical clinics with Dr Leaf will still require anyone who enters to wear a mask. This is for the safety of all my staff and patients. I do not know when I will remove this policy. Please be respectful of the choices I have made. My choices are done with lots of thought, research and the goal to take care of “my people”. Thank you.

4th Dose of COVID vaccine is available for immunocompromised…that means most of the rheumatology community. 1. 84 days AFTER your 3rd vaccine dose. 2. Show your prescription OR 3. Get a letter from myself or your family doctor. PLEASE BE PATIENT. We will get to all of you, but we are overwhelmed.

3rd doses! Here is the updated eligibility and the plan for future rollout. 3rd doses of the vaccine will be for everyone, because that will complete the full series. 3 doses is what we all need to do. It is safe. Just like the polio vaccine and the measles vaccines needed a series of shots for complete immunity, this is exactly the same. ♥️👍🏼👌🏼💉

As of today, 3 countries have reached ≥ 60% of their total population with their 1st vaccination dose.
