Self Care Basket GIVEAWAY!!

It’s National Mental Health week here in Canada. The goal of the week is simple: celebrate, promote, and protect mental health. The theme this year is... Social Connection. Timely, right?!
In this pandemic, we have been forced to get creative about how we socially connect in order maintain our mental health! Drive by birthdays, front yard/ sidewalk visits, and even talent shows over zoom are a few of the ways we’ve noticed people getting creative to stay socially connected during this time of social distancing. Hi! My name is Cherie Kuiper. I graduated from Tyndale Seminary in 2015 with an MDiv Clinical Counselling. While completing my degree, I interned at Lutherwood Family Counselling Services and Jacob Hespeler Secondary School, both located in Cambridge. Following my graduation, I began a private practice; IMPACT Therapy. In 2017, I also worked for one year covering a maternity leave at the Christian Counselling Centre in Lambeth. In January I merged my private practice and changed locations to become Revive; a joint venture with Tanya and Rachel; this is an exciting time to see how we can serve St. Thomas and surrounding areas. I am a Pre-Clinical Fellow with both the American and the Ontario Associations of Marriage and Family Therapy as well as the Canadian Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. I work from an integrated model, incorporating aspects of various theories including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Family Systems Theory and Narrative Therapy. It is an honour to work with individuals, couples and families who entrust me with their stories.

Hi, my name is Rachel Koetsier and I am thrilled to be joining the team at Revive Psychotherapy and Counselling to serve the residents of St. Thomas and surrounding area.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals. I graduated from Tyndale Seminary with a Masters of Divinity and Clinical Counselling. I have specialized training in Narrative Therapy, and the Narrative Enneagram. I am strongly influenced by attachment theory, and family systems theory and take time to understand how you fit into your family of origin.
I have worked with people experiencing a wide range of challenges including grief and loss, relationship conflict, parenting struggles, depression, anxiety, abuse, everyday stress, life transitions and concerns related to self-worth. I use a number of different evidence based techniques in my practise to help you achieve your goals for emotional and psychological well-being. One of the key factors that contribute to success in therapy is the relationship between therapist and client. This is why I take the time to build a strong therapeutic relationship with each client and couple.

Hi, My name is Tanya Rock. I graduated from Liberty University in 2010 with a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Following my graduation, I worked in public health on various projects before opening my practice in 2012. In 2017, I began taking courses with the Somatic Experiencing (SE) Trauma Institute. I completed my courses there this past February. As a therapeutic modality, SE encompasses both the mental and physical responses to trauma that affect the autonomic nervous system (the system that creates fight, flight, freeze responses). I am passionate about finding symptom relief for individuals suffering from the affects of trauma in their lives.
I am a pre-clinical fellow with the Ontario Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. In January I had the pleasure of joining my practice with Rachel and Cherie. We are very excited to bring Revive to St. Thomas.
One more thing........ yesterday amid the challenges of a pandemic, I got an email that I have been accepted to the PhD program at Wilfred Laurier University beginning September 2020. I feel very privileged to continue my education once again.

Welcome to our page. Revive is a newly established group practice located in St. Thomas, Ontario. We are excited to bring mental health services to St. Thomas and surrounding area. Three therapists make up our practice. Cherie Kuiper graduated with a MDiv. Clinical Counselling degree from Tyndale Seminary in 2015 and has five years of experience with individuals, couples and families. Rachel Koetsier graduated from Tyndale Seminary in 2019 with a MDiv. Clinical Counselling degree and enjoys working with couples and individuals. Tanya Rock graduated from Liberty University in 2010 with a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Tanya has eight years of experience and has spent the last three years learning about the impact of trauma on individuals and couples.
