Most teens are thinking about prom, part-time jobs, or their next road trip.

Meet our Community Champions, William Goodman and Christian Reith. At just 16 and 18, these young leaders created the Railway City Charity Car Show, raising more than $30,000 in its first year for patient care at STEGH.

With support from their families, what started as an idea became something extraordinary.

The 2026 show is already in motion.

Their story is a powerful reminder that fundraising doesn’t have to start big, it just has to start.

Thank you to the St. Thomas & District Chamber of Commerce for hosting ElevateHER. We were proud to support the event and connect with so many incredible people in our community.

The St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation was founded in 1985 by a group of community leaders determined to make a lasting impact on the healthcare available in St. Thomas and Elgin County.

Since that time, our community has stood shoulder-to-shoulder in support of the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital.

Our Mission is simple: we partner with the community to support STEGH in the delivery of an excellent patient care experience.
