What is Special About EDify Day Camps?
Each day, at least one hour is devoted to teaching kids strategies and concepts associated with one of three social-emotional development goals. These goals are especially helpful for kids with ADHD or other behavioural needs, but all kids are welcome!

July 6 – 10 Science Camp: Self-Regulation

July 13 – 17 Detective Camp: Social Awareness

July 20 – 24 Games Camp: Executive Functioning

July 27 – 31 Science Camp: Self-Regulation

August 4 – 7 Games Camp: Executive Functioning (short week)

August 10-14 Detective Camp: Social Awareness

🕵️‍♂️🔍 New start date: structured group counselling course for kids! 🔍🕵️‍♀️

The “You Are a Social Detective” program at EDify Elgin is still open for registration! This engaging, evidence-based course helps young children build confidence while learning how to spot social clues, solve problems, and strengthen relationships.

👧🧒 Ages: 5–7
📅 When: Wednesdays, March 4th - April 8th 2026 (except March 18th)
⏰ Time: 6:30 – 7:30 PM
💰 Cost: $250 for all 5 sessions

Through fun lessons, games, and group activities, children learn the hidden rules of social interaction in a supportive, encouraging environment.

Our Boiling Point: Adjusting Your Thermostat program at EDify Niagara is almost full — and we have 4 spots remaining!

This engaging, small-group program helps children learn how to understand, manage, and regulate their emotions, adjust their energy levels, and build practical tools they can use at home and school.

Thanks Kids Zen Inc. for these helpful tips this holiday season:

With the holidays upon us, family gatherings can be exciting… and a lot for some kids. New faces, loud rooms, changed routines, and social expectations can stir up big feelings; especially for children who are shy, anxious, or highly sensitive!

Here are a few gentle ways to help your child navigate large family groups with confidence:

1. Prepare Ahead Together → Talk about what to expect: who will be there, what the environment might feel like, and what your child can do if they start feeling overwhelmed. Predictability helps reduce anxiety.

2. Create a Safe Start → Instead of pushing for big hellos, allow your child to warm up at their own pace. A wave, a smile, or simply staying close to you at first is perfectly okay.

3. Pack Comfort Tools → Bring along items that help soothe: headphones, a fidget toy, a book, or anything familiar that helps them feel grounded.

4. Honour Their Temperament → Every child is wired differently. Sensitive, cautious, and observant kids are not “too much” or “not enough,” they simply need gentle pacing and understanding.

5. Celebrate Small Wins → Did your child say Hi? Join a game? Stay in the room a few minutes longer? That’s fantastic! These steps matter ❤️
