Flu cases are starting to rise on track to peak at the holidays, you can get your flu shot now at pharmacies or our office (for our patients). Wash your hands, stay home if you are sick, mask to protect others.

Provincial models show Influenza cases will spike over the holidays.

Protect yourself and loved ones:

✅Get vaccinated (Flu, COVID, RSV if eligible)
✅Wash hands, stay home when sick, mask in crowds
✅Promote healthy habits: eat well, stay active, hydrate, and air out your home

Are you pregnant and concerned about postpartum depression?

McMaster University is now recruiting individuals for a study on the prevention of postpartum depression (PPD).

The study is to determine if a FREE ONLINE 1-day cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)-based workshop is effective at PREVENTING PPD.

Who Is Eligible: Ontario residents, 18 years of age or older, currently in 2nd or 3rd trimester of pregnancy, who have had a depressive episode in the past.

Two Groups: Half of participants who enroll will receive their usual care (provided by their healthcare professional) AND will participate in the CBT workshop, and half will receive usual care ONLY, and not attend the workshop. ALL participants will be followed for 3-months postpartum and will receive $80 in gift cards for completing the study. The workshops are delivered by trained professionals.
