Since November 2024, the Shuswap Cardiac Society has been on a mission to empower individuals on their cardiac health journey; through education, rehabilitation, and community support; helping people live longer, healthier lives.

We’re proud to offer high-quality, evidence-based cardiac care right here at home, delivered by a passionate team focused on accessible, client-centred support.

💬 Did you know?

Before the Shuswap Cardiac Society, individuals had to travel to Kelowna or Kamloops multiple times a week for cardiac rehabilitation. Now, that care is available locally; making it easier for more people to participate, recover, and thrive.

🏃‍♂️ Our Cardiac Rehabilitation Program (T.O.R.C.H.)

Whether you’ve experienced a cardiac event, received a diagnosis, or want to reduce your risk, our program offers:

• Supervised exercise led by a certified kinesiologist
• Education on heart health and lifestyle factors
• A supportive, community-based environment for both clients and caregivers

Research shows that participating in cardiac rehab can significantly reduce health risks for up to 14 years after completing the program.

🌿 Our goal?

To remove barriers, improve access, and support every individual in rebuilding confidence, strength, and quality of life; RIGHT HERE IN THE SHUSWAP!
