Welcoming the autumn equinox — a time of balance, gratitude, and harvest. 🍂✨
This photo of my Nonna, canning sauce with tomatoes and basil from the garden, always reminds me of what the season means: the hard work of spring and summer coming full circle, the joy of the harvest, and the importance of saving and sharing for the colder days ahead.
My Nonna and Nonno taught me that a garden is more than just food — it’s a metaphor for life:
🌱 Work hard in the early seasons, even when it’s uncomfortable.
☀️ Create the conditions for things to grow, then trust them to flourish on their own.
🍅 Enjoy the harvest, but always save some for later.
🌸 Grow not just for sustenance, but for beauty, because our souls need nourishment too.
🌿 Share what you can, because community is worth more than any one thing.
As the seasons turn, I’m feeling grateful for the lessons of those before me, the abundance of the harvest, and the reminder that even in times of rest, spring will come again.
