This is a before and after of a facial misalignment treatment. I am so very grateful to be able to practice massage techniques that can offer so much relief. This guy did a big roll, shake and stretch as soon as I got his eye socket into better alignment.
This kind of misalignment can cause a kind of chronic headache that affects their overall mood and they tend to rub their heads and faces more often (sometimes on people) while experiencing this.
This can be treated up to the age of 13yo (age can vary on the individual horse) before the suture lines of the skull close.

Some horses can be so stoic with very subtle signs of release when I find the right spot, and some gesture with their entire body that it's working. This little guy gave me a ton of kisses and some of the funniest faces during his session.
