Migraines 🧠
a neurological condition influenced by various factors. While the exact cause isn’t fully understood, they are believed to result from abnormal brain activity that affects nerve signals, chemicals, and blood vessels in the brain.

Common Triggers:
Hormonal Changes: Hormonal fluctuations; such as those during menstruation, pregnancy, or menopause; are common migraine triggers.
Dietary Triggers: Certain foods and beverages, like chocolate, alcohol, caffeine, artificial sweeteners, and MSG, can provoke migraines in sensitive individuals.
Stress: Emotional or physical stress activates the body’s fight-or-flight response, which can lead to a migraine.
Sleep Issues: Both lack of sleep and oversleeping can disrupt the body’s natural rhythms, triggering migraines.
Environmental Stimuli: Bright lights, loud noises, strong smells, or even weather changes (like barometric pressure drops) can act as triggers.
Dehydration and Skipping Meals: Inadequate hydration and irregular eating habits may provoke attacks.

Underlying Medical Conditions
In some cases, migraines can be linked to conditions like:
• Anxiety or depression
• Chronic stress
• High blood pressure
• Hormonal imbalances

Why Massage Therapy Helps?

Migraines are often exacerbated by tension in the neck, shoulders, and scalp. Regular massage therapy can reduce muscle tightness, promote relaxation, and lower stress levels, which may help prevent or alleviate migraine symptoms.

Why Chiropractic Helps?

Treating the affected muscles via soft tissue therapy, Instrument assisted technique.
Adjusting the affected/restricted joints.
They also can educate you on some migraine triggers as well.

Why Acupuncture Helps?

Acupuncture helps relieve migraines and headaches because it treats the root causes. Diagnosing whether the pain was externally or internally contracted. Acupuncture can either disperse exogenous factors or regulate hormonal systems. Acupuncture is a wonderful natural modality to relieve severity and frequency of Migraines and headaches.

The Why We’re Donating This Holiday Season

The holidays are a time of giving, reflection, and gratitude. For Palm & Soul, this season is also a reminder of the importance of mental health.

As a small business, we want to do more than just serve our customers; we want to serve our community. This year, we’ve chosen to donate to Mental Health Saskatchewan, a cause that is incredibly close to our hearts.

Just recently being diagnosed with anxiety disorder & the loss of so many lives to mental health struggles has also shown me how much work is still needed to make mental health care accessible, effective, and free of stigma.

This donation isn’t just about giving back—it’s about honoring those we’ve lost, supporting those still fighting, and reminding everyone that they’re not alone.

By choosing to donate with me this holiday season, you’re part of this mission, too. Your support makes it possible for us to help create resources, raise awareness, and contribute to the fight for better mental health care.

Thank you for being part of our journey and for standing with us in support of mental health. Together, we can make a difference.

Let’s end the stigma and bring hope to those who need it most. 💙
