Everyone’s out here working on skills — handwriting, sitting still in class, skating faster, jumping higher — but actually building the core strength that supports those skills? 💪
That’s the thing most parents overlook… but why? 🤔
And I get it.
When life’s busy, you’re focused on what’s visible — the milestones, the goals, the “can they or can’t they?”
But here’s the truth: without a strong, stable core, everything else becomes harder — posture, balance, coordination, even focus. 🧠
It’s time to shed light on this overlooked foundation and understand its power:
1️⃣ Many parents overlook core strength because it’s invisible.
You can see if your child walks or jumps… but you can’t see weak coordination until fatigue or wobbles show up.
✅ My tip: Turn everyday play into core work — crawling races, bear walks, and scooter board adventures build stability fast (and kids love them).
2️⃣ Core work sounds “too advanced.”
Parents think “core” means crunches or gym workouts — not play-based physio.
✅ My tip: Try animal movements! Crab walks, superman poses, and squats during tooth brushing keep it fun and functional.
3️⃣ It’s often mistaken for posture, not power.
We call it “slouching,” but it’s really about endurance and muscle coordination.
✅ My tip: Build strength slowly — 10 seconds of sitting tall or balancing on a wobble cushion beats constant reminders to “sit up straight.”
✨ But my BIGGEST tip is this:
Core strength is the engine behind every milestone.
It’s what lets kids sit longer, play harder, and move confidently.
So from today, promise me you won’t overlook it any longer!
Make strengthening fun, make it consistent, and watch your child’s coordination soar. 🌟
Double tap if you agree — and save this post to remind yourself that small movements build strong kids. 💛
