We are thrilled to welcome Emily Langen, M.Ed to the team! Fun fact: our clinic owner Sarah attended graduate school with Emily, and they are excited to work together again!
Emily joins us as a Registered Psychologist (Provisional) who provides counselling for children and youth, as well as psychoeducational assessments. She takes a person centred, strengths-based, and neuro-affirming approach, creating a supportive space where clients feel understood and empowered to grow.
Emily is passionate about supporting individuals navigating neurodivergence, interpersonal challenges, people-pleasing and perfectionism. She also works closely with children and youth experiencing behavioural challenges at home or school, using collaborative, family-based approaches that support both the child and their caregivers.
Her work is grounded in a client-centred philosophy and informed by family systems perspectives. Emily integrates practical strategies from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build skills, strengthen resilience, and move toward meaningful change.
Emily will have limited availability for the next couple of months as she prepares for her oral board exam, the last step in receiving full licensure with the college of psychologists. Once completed, her hours and services will expand to welcome new children and adult clients.
Welcome to the team, Emily!!
