There are anti-LGBTQ2S+ protests/marches planned across Canada on Wednesday, Sept 20th.

There will also be nation wide counter protests - in the photos is a scannable code to find a counter protest to join.

If you are unable to attend a counter protest, consider changing your profile photo and spreading the No Space for Hate logo digitally and physically.

Anti-LGBTQ2S+ rhetoric and hate needs to be drowned out of mainstream conversations. It cannot be ignored because it is influencing policy makers.

If there was ever a point in history to speak up, it is now.

Huge changes are FINALLY coming to healthcare. I am excited for the future of healthcare- finally we are starting to recognize that the body is a unit and has its own healing capacities. AND!.. The recognition that energies play a role in healing and scientists are finally acknowledging this.. absolutely AMAZING!

Perfect example of how the MOUTH impacts the WHOLE BODY! Whether it’s a deep bite, or the opposite… If our jaw and tongue are not where they are meant to be, whole body dysfunction exists. Period.
That’s why a osteopathic manual therapist AND myofunctional therapist (or oral motor therapist for infants trained in tongue ties) is a MUST during your therapeutic process. Whether an infant, child or adult. Find the whole body restrictions and address them! Teach the proper oral motor patterns and strengthen them!

Adult tongue tie restrictions!
We hear about ‘posterior tongue ties’. Well this is a perfect video to understand the concept. The tongue should elevate, it should not rely on the floor of the mouth elevating too (that is a body compensation!).
A tie is a tie is a tie!
If restriction exists in the tongue, it exists in the whole body- the frontal plane is impacted. If the frontal plane is restricted ALL other muscles, bones, fascia, fluids will become impacted!
Myofunctional therapy and Osteopathic manual therapy is a MUST for ANYONE who has a tongue tie restriction!

Every single day. 💝 As an occupational therapist, certified breastfeeding specialist, “tongue tie” specialist, and manual therapist.. I bring love and passion to my work. Every single session is about teaching parents things that they should understand about oral developmental and the whole body with total soul and love. My daughter and I struggled with infant feeding and I see the ramifications on a daily basis because I did not have the knowledge then that I do now. I never want another mom to experience the stress and difficulties that my daughter and I did.

It’s that time again!!! This month is Occupational Therapy month in Canada! I am so blessed to have found a profession that I absolutely love! I am so so passionate about helping families and their children. I put a lot of time and effort into my offers because I am blessed to love what I do and I care deeply about helping others achieve their truest potential. Everything I do comes directly from my heart ❤️ I could not ask for a better career or better clients! I am lucky to have found this unique career!
