I am so happy to announce that I have now added Myofascial Release / Decompression as a stand alone treatment option, having completed the in person continued education course.

I am so excited to be offering this, as the fascia is so important to address, and many issues and conditions can greatly benefit and show positive results from this specific kind of treatment.

The fascia is the glue that holds our muscles together. It surrounds each of our muscles in a connective tissue, that when restricted, restricts the muscle it surrounds. Addressing the fascia specifically helps improve range of motion, chronic pain, decrease headaches, improve posture and so much more. The difference between myofascial release and traditional massage, is that myofascial release uses no oil//lotion. This allows me to "grip" onto the fascia to stretch and release it, using very slow and sustained pressure. It addresses issues and conditions in a different light than traditional massage therapy. But there's a time and place for everything. Not everyone will need myofascial release, which is why I do a quick assessment of the areas we're working on before we start.

You will find it in my booking options for 60 and 75 minute treatments only, to allow the time it takes to properly execute this technique. If you would like to change an existing appointment to myofascial release, you can message me or just let me know the day of your appointment.
