We need to address something important. ⚠️
It’s incredibly upsetting and disappointing to see the way some of our staff—specifically our reception team—have been treated recently over the last few weeks.
Our team shows up every day to care for our clients to the best of their abilities. They do not deserve to be spoken to rudely, aggressively, or disrespectfully under any circumstances. This has been a large issue when training new staff.
Truly, we would not be able to survive without our reception team manning the clinic 13 hours a day, 7 days a week. Due to our hours, we have numerous receptionists to cover all shifts, especially holidays and events when we have two on staff at a time. Our reception staff are trained to handle our day to day operations, and refusing to speak with them because they are just "a receptionist" will not be an acceptable form of communication. Please understand we have a very large group of professionals at the clinic including management, they are unable to take your calls while in treatment or meetings with others.
We are currently training new reception staff. There is a lot to learn and manage in this role. New team members are still getting familiar with our systems, our regular clients, our long treatment list, client preferences, and the hardest thing is to learn direct billing processes which differ per paramedical category. This means they may be slower than more experienced staff, and that is part of training.
We understand that things can be frustrating at times, but disrespect toward our staff will not be tolerated. We are proud of our team and will always stand behind them. Disrespectful or aggressive behavior toward our team is upsetting and will not be tolerated - we will refuse service for the safety of our staff.
We regularly post when training new staff on all social media platforms, as well as signs in reception. It isn’t enough but it should be. All staff should feel comfortable, safe and excited when coming to work.
Thank you to the many clients who treat our staff with patience and kindness—we truly appreciate you. ❤❤
