Too often people look at the behaivours or actions of individuals with FASD and form inaccurate judgements without understanding the underlying cause. Sharing correct information about FASD can help people understand the challenges caused by the disability.

FASD can create challenges in almost every part of an individual’s life. Here are just 10 examples of how this disability can impact someone.

I love this!!
*This is not meant to be a political post, although I’m sure some will view it that way (which is ok- just scroll on by). Part of what many SLPs include in their fluency therapy is a list of famous people who stutter (James Earl Jones, Marilyn Monroe) - because it’s important for kids who stutter to know that they can be smart & successful, and be anything they could dream to be. Representation matters, and it’s so great to see a person who stutters in a job where frequent speeches under pressure (most stutterers’ nightmare) is the norm- and children who stutter can see that and think, “I can do that too!”.
