Nutrition and Growth Study

Nutrition and Growth Study A study investigating the role of dairy food consumption on the growth and development of children. Why should you and your child participate?

The Nutrition and Growth Study (NGS) is a 2.5 year long study that investigates how eating dairy products impacts children’s growth and development. During the study we will ask you to come in for 6 visits where we will conduct several assessments. The assessments for children include height, weight, dietary intake, physical activity status, bone composition, saliva collection, cognitive assessments, and questions to help us understand your child’s knowledge, attitudes, and practices towards dairy foods. The assessments for the caregivers include questions about sociodemographic factors, food security, and about your knowledge/attitudes/practices towards dairy foods. You will receive comprehensive health information on your child’s growth and development. You will also receive gift cards in appreciation for your participation. If you are interested in participating or have any questions, please contact me (Zoe Bye) at zoe.bye@usask.ca or text/call at 306-229-9563.
