Central Haven Special Care Home creates a community that supports each person to live a full and abundant life.

Central Haven Special Care Home is a small, close-knit community with 60 Elders, 50 caring staff and over 30 dedicated volunteers. Central Haven is an Eden Alternative® Registered Home and part of the Sherbrooke family.

For years, Wes Froese has shared his many gifts with Central Haven Elders, staff and families.

His incredible piano and guitar playing, along with his encyclopedic knowledge of music, made Wes the perfect entertainer for our community. He brought so much joy and spontaneity to Central Haven, while forming meaningful friendships with Elders, families and staff.

Wes is retiring, although he has promised to drop by sing some tunes for us now and again, and we want to thank him for sharing his many gifts and caring nature with us for more than 20 years!

Best of luck in all of your future adventures, Wes! Thank you for all the memories!

What a great week at Central Haven. SOAR Sask Youth Group spent their February break with us. Music, skits, badminton, bowling, bingo, curling, crafts, bracelet making, church and sing song, cards, Yahtzee, and so much more! Can’t forget the homemade pizza for lunch today, learning some new dances and of course some Olympic watching, our favourites curling and hockey of course! Thank you to SOAR, we hope to see you again next year!

Happy Valentine’s Day from Central Haven💕

We hosted a lovely Valentine’s Day party yesterday that featured 3D centrepieces from our friends at Wave of the Future 3D.

Our Food Services team really went above and beyond this morning at our annual Valentine’s Day Sweetheart brunch!

Elders and their spouses enjoyed chocolate covered strawberries, pink pancakes and heart-shaped cakes while listening to Elizabeth sing some beautiful love songs. Thank you to everyone who made this brunch so special.

We were thrilled to welcome students and staff from Westmount Community School this week to meet with Elders and get to know our community.

A grade eight class and pre-kindergarten class made the trip from Westmount to Central Haven and were definitely treated with open arms by Elders, staff and families. We are excited to see how this relationship grows and can’t wait to soon welcome back the students to Central Haven!

We want to say thank to the London Drugs Stocking Stuffers, SaskTel Wish Angels, and Alpyne Apparel, for their incredible generosity during the holiday season.

These three organizations donated more than 120 gifts which were given to residents for Christmas! We are grateful to have friends like this in the greater community who bring joy and happiness to the lives of Central Haven residents.

Our dining room was full of holiday spirit as we hosted our annual Christmas Tea today!

It was wonderful seeing so many families and friends spend an afternoon with residents and staff while enjoying delicious homemade holiday treats.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a special afternoon!
