Central Haven Special Care Home creates a community that supports each person to live a full and abundant life.

Central Haven Special Care Home is a small, close-knit community with 60 Elders, 50 caring staff and over 30 dedicated volunteers. Central Haven is an Eden Alternative® Registered Home and part of the Sherbrooke family.

This is our Giving Tree!

By making a donation to our giving tree, you are supporting the entertainment that comes to perform for Central Haven residents.

You can add some colour to our Giving Tree by making a donation at the following levels:

- A red ball is $20.
- A green ball is $40.
- A silver ball is $80.
- A gold ball is $100.

Your donation will be graciously accepted by Monica, Elizabeth, Judy or Michelle, and will be eligible for a charitable donation.

Cheques can be made out to the Sherbrooke Foundation and please indicate Central Haven on the memo line.

Our dining room was full of holiday spirit as we hosted our annual Christmas Tea today!

It was wonderful seeing so many families and friends spend an afternoon with residents and staff while enjoying delicious homemade holiday treats.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a special afternoon!

A Sherbrooke & Central Haven Christmas 2025: Again, this year our chaplains, Mark and Cindy, are organizing a program of assistance to residents, staff or CDP participants with special needs at this time of year. The program will consist of distribution of gifts for registered residents, food hampers and/or children’s gift(s) for registered staff and hamper’s and/or Christmas gift(s) for CDP participants to help make everyone’s Christmas a little more joyful.

Eligibility: You may participate in the program either as a recipient or a contributor by registering with Mark or Cindy by December 15th. Donations equal to or in excess of $20.00 may obtain a tax receipt if requested. All donations are confidential.

Registration: Registration Forms for recipients and contributors may be picked up from Mark or Cindy; or at the front desk or the business office at Central Haven. Please complete and return them to the chaplains.

Thank you to all of the staff, families and students who donated baking for today’s sale. We also want to thank the residents who worked hard last week creating some delicious holiday treats for everyone to enjoy!

We were honoured to host our second annual Thanksgiving Donor Tea in the Saal Room this week.

This gathering gives our community a chance to say thank you and show our gratitude to donors who are making a difference in the lives of residents.

It was wonderful seeing so many people visiting and sharing stories with each-other, and donors were reminded of the powerful impact of their gifts thanks to speeches from Sherbrooke Foundation Donor Relations Manager, Joy-Ann Allin, and our CEO, Kim Schmidt.
