Physiotherapy tips for shovelling:
- Warm up! Gently stretching helps to prepare your body before repetitive heavy lifting and reduces the risk of injury
- Make sure to switch sides! Reduce the repetitive motions that can lead to aches and pains
- Take breaks! The snow will be there, tackle it in intervals if necessary
- Stretch afterward! Support your body in it's recovery to reduce aches and pains
