If you’re over 40 and experiencing pain in your shoulder, the shoulder itself may not be the real problem.
Frozen shoulder can show up during peri/menopause, but it’s not the only pattern we see when women experience shoulder pain.
Shoulder issues are often influenced by other parts of the body working harder, moving differently, or feeling stressed.
It can be linked to things like:
💫 tightness or stiffness from the neck
💫 posture changes through the rib cage
💫 movement patterns from the core or pelvis
💫 hormonal shifts
💫 stress, sleep, and nervous system load
💫 overall inflammation
This is why stretching alone or treating only the joint doesn’t always bring relief.
At Holistic Physiotherapy & Wellness, we take a whole-person approach. We look at your movement, posture, lifestyle, stress, and health history to understand what your body is navigating, and what’s actually driving your pain.
If you’re wondering what your shoulder is trying to tell you, let’s talk.
