We’re excited to announce a new partnership!

Through the SaskAbilities Learning Centre, we offer a range of training opportunities for various industries, and we’re proud to now expand that reach.

In partnership with the Saskatchewan Association for Safe Workplaces in Health (SASWH), SaskAbilities will now be offering Transferring Lifting Repositioning (TLR®) training to post-secondary students enrolled in healthcare programs, creating new access to this important training.

SaskAbilities is committed to providing quality training at affordable prices.

This National Volunteer Week, SaskAbilities celebrates the dedicated volunteers who generously share their time, energy, and compassion in support of individuals experiencing disability across Saskatchewan.

As we embrace this year’s theme, “Ignite Volunteerism,” we recognize the passion and commitment that spark connection, inclusion, and opportunity across SaskAbilities and in the lives of those we serve. Through our programs and services, this impact reaches more than 50,000 individuals experiencing disability each year.

From supporting programs and services to enhancing community events, volunteers help bring our mission to life and strengthen communities across the province.

Thank you for making a difference. Your support helps make all that we do possible!

🎉Celebrating 10 Years of the Wellman Quality of Life Day Program!🎉

On Friday, March 6, the Wellman Quality of Life Day Program celebrated an incredible milestone: 10 years of connection, growth, and community. Clients, friends, caregivers, and both current and former staff gathered to mark the occasion with a short program, heartfelt conversations, and of course, a beautiful cake! It was an opportunity to reflect on the many memories and achievements that have shaped the program over the past decade.

Programs like Wellman are part of the important work of SaskAbilities, which supports children, youth, and adults experiencing disability across Saskatchewan. Through Quality of Life Day Programs, individuals are supported in pursuing their personal goals, building life skills, and connecting with their communities. Activities are guided by person-centred planning, ensuring each participant has the opportunity to choose experiences that match their interests, strengths, and aspirations.

Participants take part in a wide range of meaningful activities, from volunteering in the community and attending local events to developing skills like cooking, communication, gardening, and recreation. These programs help foster independence, build confidence, and create lasting friendships, all while strengthening the communities around them. For many individuals and families, programs like Wellman are about far more than a place to spend the day. They provide opportunities for belonging, personal growth, and meaningful community involvement.

Congratulations to everyone who has been part of the Wellman Day Program’s journey: the participants, families, staff, and supporters who make it such a special place.

Here’s to 10 years of impact and to many more years of creating opportunities, building friendships, and celebrating abilities! 💚
