Thanks to the SaskEnergy Share the Warmth Grant, we proudly delivered our 3rd Annual Warm Winter Project; and the impact was heartwarming! 💙🧤

With this generous funding we supported:
8 parents and 4 expecting parents, 10 babies and toddlers... plus 2 little ones on the way!

We partnered once again with the Jacoby Centre and Millie’s Early Learning Centre at Nutana Collegiate to help ensure children and youth in need have access to essential food and hygiene supplies.

Care packages were thoughtfully prepared based on the expressed needs of recipients. Each included personal care essentials such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, razors, shaving cream, and feminine hygiene products. Children’s packages also contained special touches like colouring books, crayons, baby blankets, and snacks; bringing a little extra warmth and joy.

SaskAbilities staff and clients proudly volunteered to plan, assemble, and deliver the packages.

Together, we’re sharing warmth in more ways than one! 💚

As we wrap up our Kindness Week activities, Cody and Brittany remind us of something important: kindness isn’t something you schedule... it’s something you choose, every single day.

At SaskAbilities, that commitment to kindness is at the heart of everything we do; in our programs, our workplaces, and our communities.

Thank you Saskatoon Community Foundation and Leadership Saskatoon for inviting us to be part of such a meaningful week. We’re proud to stand alongside you — and we’re committed to carrying that spirit of kindness forward all year long. 💙

Time and time again, they show up for Camp Easter Seal in meaningful, hands-on ways, from their C21 Charity Golf Tournament to rolling up their sleeves at Camp Clean-Up Day and the ongoing dedication of their agents.

A special thank you to the C21 Golden Heart recipients, Austin Arvay, Laura Balyski, Gary Busch, Angela Ens, Kerri Mossing, Lisa Mueller - CENTURY 21 Fusion, Jenna Schmid, Roger Schmid, Danielle Siemens, Tarra Unterschute, Scott Urbanoski, Cristin Wald, and Mary Ann Walker. Your commitment and leadership reflect the heart behind this entire effort. Thank you for the energy and care you brought to this campaign.

Because of your partnership, campers can build confidence, connection, and independence at Camp Easter Seal. We are deeply grateful not just for your generosity, but for the heart and care you continue to bring to Camp and everyone it serves.

Have you ever thought of naming SaskAbilities as one of your beneficiaries in your RRSP?

Many of us have an RRSP, which you probably need to fund your retirement. One benefit of an RRSP is that you can name beneficiaries to receive unused funds when you pass. Plus, you can add or change a beneficiary any time without legal fees.

When you name a charity as one of the beneficiaries of your registered funds, you leave a generous contribution that will have future impact, and your estate benefits from the tax credit.

It only takes a minute. You can start now and download your RRSP beneficiary form on the Will Power campaign’s website. https://www.willpower.ca/donate-with-rrsp/

If you decide to name SaskAbilities as one of your beneficiaries – THANK YOU and please let us know so you can receive the benefits of being a LEGACY DONOR!

Lights, Camera, Action! 🎥

On January 21, Jeff Rogstad took several SaskAbilities clients on an exciting behind-the-scenes tour of the CTV News station!

Clients were able to explore the control room, audio booth, green screen, and even stepped onto the main studio stage! The group also lucked out and caught a live interview in action with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies women’s basketball team!

A big thank-you to Jeff and the CTV Saskatoon team for an unforgettable experience and a fascinating look at what happens behind the camera!
