SWITCH - Student Wellness Initiative Toward Community Health A student-led interdisciplinary wellness project that provides free health and outreach services

SWITCH is a student-led interdisciplinary wellness organization based out of the Westside Community Clinic. The aim of the project is to provide free walk-in health and outreach services to the residents of Saskatoon’s core neighbourhoods. In addition to traditional clinical services, we offer counselling, speech language pathology, physical therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, cultural supports, g

Shoutout to last week's Saturday crew for not only prepping meals for the community, but also our furry friends!🐶🐱

Last week saw the last SWITCH Saturday shift for the season. During which, our outreach volunteers packaged donated pet food for cats and large dogs! This was in addition to our usual hot meal, which we served to community members!🍚

SWITCH Saturdays will return in September!🍂

Here is out April 2026 program calendar (subject to change if needed).

April 1st is FULL, we will have our second in person tax clinic April 8th from 6pm-7:30pm as well as a DROP OFF tax clinic option April 27th from 6pm-7:30pm.

***Please note our tax clinics both in person and drop off are limited and first come first served. ****

We had a wonderful time connecting with students on campus, and sharing some of the amazing volunteering opportunities open to students. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, and for showing interest in getting engaged in your local communities!😎

On Monday, SWITCH had the opportunity to host a Lunch & Learn for Year-1 Master of Physical Therapy (M.P.T.) students from the School of Rehabilitation Science !📗🍕

Together, we went through clinical and outreach volunteering opportunities available to M.P.T. students. As well, we discussed the importance of providing physical therapy services to Saskatoon's core neighbourhoods, and the important role M.P.T. students can play in providing those services.

Shoutout to Maria, Year-1 MD student, for organizing the event! And thanks again to all the M.P.T. students who attended!💪
