Congrats everybody 🎉🎉🎉

Congratulations to our Community Safety Officers & Emergency Management Team!

Over two weeks in November, our Community Safety Officers and Emergency Management Team undertook — and successfully completed — the intensive Canadian Red Cross Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) program. This achievement marks an incredible leap forward for our First Nation.

By building this new level of medical response capacity, our teams are helping to close longstanding gaps in service — gaps that have not been addressed in current funding frameworks with Indigenous Services Canada. Their dedication means our community will benefit from faster response times, enhanced on-the-ground support, and a stronger safety network for those experiencing medical distress.

Please join us in extending our deepest gratitude to every participant - Kayla Gardipy, Landon Gamble, Shelly Yahyahkeekoot, Loressa Mike, Shasta Mike, Craig Seesequasis, and Landon Seesequasis.

Their commitment to learning, service, and community safety is not only inspiring — it will save lives. This milestone represents real progress in advancing safety for our community, sovereignty in our emergency response, and a healthier, safer future for our people.

The Grinch heard we’re dropping a giveaway tomorrow and decided he just had to take over 😭💚🎁 He’s been snooping around, trying to ‘inspect’ the prizes like he isn’t planning to steal them before we even post the details.
