🍣🥑 Why we love a poke bowl as dietitians…
✅ omega-3s from the salmon
✅ protein from salmon + edamame to keep you full, balance blood sugars, & support muscle recovery
✅ fibre from edamame, avocado + cucumber to support digestion & blood sugars
✅ healthy fats from avoacdo to keep you full
✅ customizable to your unique nutrition needs (eg. Add more rice or some mango if you’d like extra carb!)
Our poke bowl featured a seasoned poke packet from Costco which adds a ton of flavour!
From there we added shelled edamame, diced avoacdo and cucumber, rice, and sriracha mayo (we just combined light mayo and sriracha!)
Lunch is served!
Delicious, balanced, nutrient-packed, and fresh!
It is a great way to pretend like your in Hawaii for a moment. ☀️ Even if you are in the depths of Canadian winter - haha! ❄️⛄️
