People come to me for foot pain
(fallen arches, bunions, plantar fasciitis)

They come for tight hamstrings and calves that are actually creating pelvic imbalance and low-back compression

That’s exactly what a client said to me yesterday after a private session.

What if your pain isn’t something to fight… but something asking to be understood?

Most people who find me aren’t new to pain. They’re experienced with it.

They’ve stretched. Strengthened. Treated. Managed. They’ve done “all the right things.”

And yet… their body still doesn’t feel at ease.

My private sessions are for the people who are done forcing change, and ready to let their body finally exhale.

This work is slow, precise, and deeply intentional.

We don’t chase symptoms.
We listen to patterns.

In a private session, we work with:
• spinal decompression & intelligent alignment
• deeply held muscular and fascial tension
• unconscious posture and movement habits
• nervous system overload and guarding
• gentle traction, balls, straps, hands-on support

Your Vagus Nerve Might Be Asking for Attention 👀

Weight gain, inflammation, body pain, and chronic fatigue are often linked to vagus nerve dysregulation.

If you want to start supporting your vagus nerve, here’s what actually helps:

• reduce caffeine
• no screens before or during bedtime
• limit screen time throughout the day
• eat whole foods (fruits, vegetables, nuts, less sugar)
• gentle, consistent yoga & movement
• get at least 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep (including weekends)

And one of the most important pieces we overlook👇
Positive social connection.

Safe, supportive interactions stimulate the vagus nerve and create a sense of calm and regulation. Chronic stress, conflict, workplace pressure, and social isolation lower vagal tone and keep the body in survival mode.

Prolonged isolation increases stress responses and emotional exhaustion. Even small, intentional connections, in person or virtual, help regulate the nervous system and build resilience.

Our Story

Why the Turtle?

The turtle's whole life is one of steadfastness, effort, and patience. It lives a slow and steady life of "non-doing". We believe this also the life of the yogi. The Yoga teachings say that we must cultivate a long, steady practice to have the maximum result (sah tu dirgha kala nairantaira satkara asevitah dridha bhumih Sutra 1:14). Because of its seemingly wide-eyed, long-lived, carefree attitude the turtle is often thought to be the wisest of souls among the animal kingdom. At Inner Peace, we learn from the turtle and move at our own pace as the turtle does. The turtle takes its wisdom one day at a time - not reacting, simply accepting and moving on in its natural methods.

In many Native American folk legends, the turtle represents the earth mother and she is honored for saving mankind from the Great Flood. She is the immortal mother who stoically, silently carries the heavy burden of man upon her thick back. Many species have thirteen sections to their underbelly some sources say this represents each of the thirteen moons, and moons are a celestial symbol motherhood. Among Far Eastern cultures it was believed that the turtle's back symbolized Heaven and that its underside represented Earth. For them the turtle signified the possibility of uniting Heaven and Earth within one's own life.

There is a saying, "Home is where the heart is" - the turtle is always at home within itself.
