Ever wondered what goes into making your custom orthotics?

🦶🏻 It’s not just a foot mold and a quick fit; there’s a full process behind the scenes to ensure every step you take is supported, aligned, and pain-free.

From assessment to fitting (and everything in between), here’s how your orthotics are made; step by step, sole by sole.

➡️ Swipe through the photos to get an inside look at the technique!

The whole process takes about 1-2 weeks to complete.

👟 When you come to pick them up, don’t forget to bring the shoes you wear most often so we can make sure the fit is just right!

‼️ Be sure to book your appointment before the end of the year if you would like to submit to your insurance for coverage ‼️

📌 Please note: While we’re unable to direct bill insurance, we’re happy to provide a detailed estimate so you can confirm coverage ahead of time.⁣

Interested in custom orthotics? Give our office a call at (306) 975-9889 to book an appointment with Michael McDine, certified Orthotist!

Here’s how to properly apply your Medspec Ryno Lacer brace for optimal comfort and stability!

Whether you’re recovering from a sprain, tendonitis, or a wrist fracture, the Ryno Lacer offers targeted support with a low-profile, easy-to-adjust design.

👀 Watch the video to see how to get the perfect fit!

💡 Pro Tips:
✔️ The blue pad inside the brace should always sit comfortably on the palm of your hand.
✔️ The side with laces always sits on the pinky side of the hand.
✔️ Make sure the metal stay is centered with your wrist.
✔️ Tighten the lacing evenly, but not so tight to cut off circulation.
✔️ You should still be able to use the top joint of your thumb.

Wearing your back brace but not feeling the support you expected?

Let’s walk through how to wear it right so you get the full benefit of its support and comfort.

LSO’s or lumbosacral orthoses are meant to stabilize and support the lower spine—specifically the lumbar and sacral regions. They help to:
🔸 Reduce movement in the lower back to allow healing after injury or surgery
🔸 Relieve pain by offloading pressure on spinal structures
🔸 Improve posture and spinal alignment
🔸 Support weak or fatigued muscles in the lower back

It’s commonly used for conditions like herniated discs, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, lumbar strain, or post-operative recovery.

Swipe through the post to see how to properly apply your LSO back brace. The brace featured is the Orliman Evotec LSO.

Pro Tips:
➰ Apply the brace while standing or slightly reclined for easier positioning.
➰ Ensure the brace is positioned correctly by checking in a mirror or with another person.
➰ Use the brace as recommended and avoid wearing it for prolonged periods of rest.

👩🏼‍⚕️ A diagnosis from a qualified healthcare provider is highly recommended before bracing. Once you are sure, our bracing techs can help get you properly fitted for the right support!
