This is Mike!

Mike is a funeral assistant and has been with us for many years. He joined our team after retiring from the OPP, as Detective Sergeant after 32 years of service.

Mike comes from a large family in Southern, Ontario, he is the 3rd oldest of 10. He and his wife Anne or his “sweetie” as he so lovingly refers to her as, have 4 beautiful children and 6 grandchildren.

When he’s not working, Mike is a very talented woodworker, and enjoys camping, hiking, and kayaking.

Mike says, “I enjoy the people I work with and helping the families we serve.”

This is Bill, one of our part-time funeral assistants.

Bill retired from Algoma Steel, where he spent 45 years in various departments. He finished his career as the acting chairperson of the Joint Health and Safety Committee in 2016. He has been with Northwood for a few years now and has been a welcome addition to the team.

Bill says that he enjoys being a part of such a professional and compassionate team.
