Waiting for guests to arrive, the turkey warming the house, the table set and ready. There is a quiet pause in moments like this that I try to really notice.
Holidays have a way of reminding us that so much changes from year to year. People, roles, routines, expectations. And yet there is comfort in the traditions we carry forward, both the old ones that anchor us and the new ones we create as life evolves.
Practicing gratitude does not mean everything is perfect. It means noticing what is good and steady right now. The warmth of a familiar room. The laughter we know is about to arrive. The simple privilege of gathering with family and friends and sharing time together.
In a world that often feels fast and uncertain, returning to these moments can be grounding. They remind us of what matters, what connects us, and how much care and love already exists around us.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas filled with warmth, reflection, and gentle moments of connection. đ
