Practicing what I preach!! (I’m a fitness model now 😏)

I’ve lost lots of muscle after surgery, and it takes a lot of patience with myself to remember to slowly build.

This is the loving yourself part. Love yourself enough to be patient. Love yourself enough to get started. Love yourself enough to keep going.

We all start somewhere, or restart somewhere.

UPDATE. (And trigger warnings for those who don’t do well with incisions)

Want to know why I want to keep you all healthy all the time?
Because I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy.

I just had approximately 30-40% of my large intestine removed from Crohn’s disease.
Over the last 18 years I’ve built up three strictures that were on the verge of a full blockage, should another flare up arise. This could have meant nothing moving through, massive pain, and emergency surgery.

I opted to do it before it became an emergency.

The last few days have been tough, to say the least. But this is part of my journey. And this is why living well is SO important to me.

Please make it a priority. You don’t want to end up here (really, I promise. It fu***ng sucks.)

Having said that, I’m doing OK. Finally seemed to have found pain management that is working, and I am hoping to be home tomorrow after 5 days in hospital.
It’s going to be so nice to sleep in my own bed!!!

Just a reminder that you’re probably extremely deficient in vitamin D from hibernating all winter and you need sometime in the sun WITHOUT sunscreen to help fix that.

Vitamin D is more of a hormone, assisting in the regulation of everything from bone density and immune function to hormone balance and metabolism.

Don’t be stupid and get burned - just get out there and soak some up to your own tolerance.

Learn your body. Listen in. What is it telling you?

No one knows your body better than you do. We live in a world where our mind, body, and spirit have become entirely disconnected.

This does not help us on our journey to health.

Write, log, listen in, breath, do what you need to do to to disconnect from external distraction, and learn to read your internal ones.

It’s a necessity!

Our world has approximately 100,000 new chemicals since the 70’s.

That’s a LOT more for our bodies to deal with than they’re used to or made to handle.

A lot of these are toxins that effect the way our cells function, not allowing them to produce energy properly.

And lots more are endocrine disruptors, which change the way our hormones interact and are used in our bodies.

Reducing your toxin intake and helping your body with detoxification has never been more important.

What can you do?
➡️Make sure you have regular bowel movements!
➡️Check the cookware you’re using. Ditch anything with a non-stick coating.
➡️Get rid of any beauty/personal care products that aren’t safe to ingest
➡️Same with household cleaners!
➡️Make sure you’re exercising so that your detox pathways are moving.
➡️Follow the EWG’s Clean Fifteen and Dirty Dozen

Unfortunately, there are so many things that we come into contact with on a daily basis that we can’t control, and I’m finding more and more people who need extra help to get their bodies cleared up.

The results have been fascinating!! So much more energy and hormones that are normalizing 👌

Message when you’re ready to take your next steps and take your health back. You have to make the choice!
