Reiki is not 'done to' any client (horse or human). It's a cooperative endeavour. My hands explore, following cues (or directives?); where must I linger, where should I swish away, gentle or assertive, soothe or envigorate - I follow the messaging letting the subject's energy inform me rather than deliver a prescibed procedure.

Reiki has surpassed, for me, the calm that nature had previously provided. I still love this farm, its fields and trails in the woods. But, because it requires exertion to stop my mind from wandering, I often move without noticing. However, Reiki is such focused attention, and delivers unexpected sensations and images, that I am always intrigued and engaged.

The first mental image was of forehead to forehead - trust. And while seeing this, Cash walked straight to Victoria. Trust.❤️

This boy had the best Reiki session today - he met Jo-Ann at the gate like he was saying 'today's my day!' and the other two held space at the perimeter of the bottom paddock while Jo-Ann van Vulpen - Reiki Practitioner did her work. It is simply amazing to have such a talented practitioner in our immediate area to work with both two leggeds and four leggeds. Cash gives two hoofs up!

How Reiki can possibly work when I am sitting apart from the client (human or horse), not laying my hands on their physical being?
