Why our Posture Matters!

We hear it all the time; stand up straight!

So, why is this so important?

Keeping an eye on our posture, and doing our best to stand tall can make us feel more energetic, it can also help our digestive system move and feel better (more space!), as well, can help our body in general feel more in alignment, meaning a decrease in aches and pains specifilaly in shoulders, back and hips.

Throughout the day do a β€˜posture check’; roll those shoulders back, and just stand a little taller to reap the benefits of a good posture!

The Importance of Slowing Down

When we think of slips, trips and falls and even muscle strains, they usually happen when we are least expecting it.

A simple trip to the grocery store across the slippery parking lot, having to turn quickly watching for the kids in the store, or moving just a little too quickly when lifting those gifts or heavy snow.

Our tip for today is to slow down and try to be mindful of our movement!

Just like we dawn our winter tires and slow down on the roads, we can think of doing the same for our body.

Set yourself up for success whether that be appropriate footwear, keeping up with your exercise, and simply slowing down :)
