Environment Canada has issued a yellow level warning for cold for Huron Perth. Frigid temperatures are expected Thursday night into early Friday morning, with wind chills of -30 to -35.

If you have to be outdoors, protect yourself:
✔ Cover up. Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill.
✔ Watch for signs of cold injuries such as colour changes on fingers and toes, pain, numbness, a tingling sensation, or swelling. If present, move indoors and begin warming.

How to Get On and Off the Floor Unassisted
Getting on the floor, and off the floor means different things to us in different stages of life;

As babies we are learning.
As kiddos we are playing.
As adults we are picking up after kiddos, or doing things around the house/outside.
As older adults it could mean the difference between getting stuck on the floor, or not.

By practicing getting up and off the floor, even when we don’t ‘need’ to, we will be better preferred for the day that we need this ability!
