Dear patients,

Circle Balance Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine will reopen on May 20. Preventative measures recommended by CTCMA and PHO to reduce the spread of COVID-19 will be implemented. I will be having a gradual return to work schedule, by limiting the number of patients I see each day.

Dear patients:

I hope everyone is staying safe and keeping well. After almost two months of lockdown, Phase 2 of BC’s Restart Plan is scheduled to begin in mid-May and includes the restoration of health-related services, including traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, under enhanced protocols. Optimistically the protocols will be available before the 19th of May. Circle Balance will keep up with the updates from the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of BC and post the protocols once it's available from the college.

As a TCM practitioner, I am keen to return to work and patients care as soon as practicable. Circle Balance will start to take patients' appointments starting May 19, if everything goes as expected. If you have been missing my needles and herbs for the past couple of months, finally here we go again. I'm also looking forward to seeing more new patients as well!

Due to Covid-19, Circle Balance is temporarily closed for its acupuncture service. Chinese herbs are still available for patients who recently had treatments with me. Sorry, no new patient herbal service at this time since I may not get a whole picture of your body constitution without close check. How does acupuncture treat headaches? It is way more than just Tylenol!

There are multiple meridians on the head. The headache can be at the front, the sides, the back, the vertex or even the whole head. Depend on which meridians are involved in the headache, the acupuncture points selected can be very different. Except the location of the pain on the head, what the pain feels like also makes the treatment different. The pain can be dull, heavy aching, stabbing, throbbing or empty. The cause of each type of pain is different, the treatment strategies vary a lot. For certain cases, the headache only comes at certain time of the day or certain time of each month, such as afternoon headache, pre-menstrual headache, etc. The way of treating time specific headache is also different.
