Villa James Shaw is a non-profit organization with the objective of providing a home like residence for the aging. Villa James Shaw est un organisme san 1.

To alleviate the conditions associated with ageing and loss of autonomy by providing special adaptive residential lodging, the installations and support services such as personal care, housekeeping, meals, nursing care and aid for shopping and transport to medical appointments for the aged and people presenting with loss of autonomy;
1. Soulager les conditions associées à la vieillesse et à la perte d’autonomie en fournissant des logements résidentiels spécialement adaptés, des installations connexes et des services de soutien, y compris des soins personnels, des services ménagers, des repas, des soins infirmiers et d’aide pour le magasinage et le transport pour les rendez-vous médicaux à des personnes âgées en perte d’autonomie.
2. Soulager les conditions associées à une déficience physique ou mentale en fournissant des logements résidentiels spécialement adaptes, des installations connexes et des services de soutien, y compris des soins personnels, des services ménagers, des repas et des soins infirmiers et d’aide pour le magasinage et le transport pour les rendez-vous médicaux à des personnes handicapées, récupérant d’une maladie débilitante et ayant besoin de répit.
3. Recevoir des dons, legs et autres contributions de même nature en argent, en valeurs mobilières ou immobilières, administrer de tels dons, legs et contributions.
4. Organiser des campagnes de souscription dans le but de recueillir des fonds pour la poursuite de ces objets.
5. La corporation poursuivra ses activités sans aucune fin de gain pécuniaire pour ses membres et tous ses profits ou autre gains de semblable nature que pourrait faire la corporation seront utilisés uniquement pour la poursuite des objets.

The 2021 version of the Villa James Shaw on line Auction has ended. It was our first attempt of an on line auction and it proved to be successful. The driving forces behind the process were Cathy and Len Watson, accompanied by Ruth Potter and Susan McLaughlin. On behalf of the VJS board, we applaud and thank you for your efforts.
The auction would not have been a success without the DONORS, and of course the BIDDERS.

We hope you had fun during the process. We have had feedback about the auction itself, and we know some folks were not able to log on and register. We have taken your feedback; (proxy bid increment limits, confusion as to where to see who you were bidding against..etc.)..thank you...and we will pass it on to the people who run 32AUCTIONS.
We raised just over $9000 for VILLA James Shaw. Our goal was $10000. We are very pleased with the results. Thank you.

The Villa James Shaw spring tea will happen at a later date. It was scheduled for April 4 and because of Covid-19, it has been postponed.

We will feature some of the auction items on a daily basis. Would you like to soar to new heights above the Ottawa? We will have something for you. How about a dinner for 4 with a distinguished guest, at a restaurant of your choice in Ottawa? Details will be revealed. Ever been to an auction with Preston Cull and Art Jamieson? They will be there on Saturday night.
