On Saturday December 13 at 2pm
ANAF Unit #318 Lennoxville was proud to host a Quilts of Valour presentation for 7 local Veterans.
A very moving ceremony for the veterans and their families.
Started in 2006 by Edmonton Quilter Lezley Zwaal as a way to thank three soldiers and giving some comfort to those military members.
Since that humble beginning, over 27000 Quilts have been crafted by Canadian Quilters and donated to veterans all acrossed Canada.
The impart of seeing veterans wrapped in a quilt is immense.
A hug from a grateful nation to veterans from WWII to our modern veterans.

For our membership blitz

Food Drive
We have started collecting non-perishable food items that will be given to local families
In need of help during the holidays. Boxes are up front at the Hut.

Toy Drive
Dance with Slightly Haggard Saturday December 20 starting at 8pm

A young man tragically taken too young.

Today the members of ANAVETS unit 318 will pull together with the local Dart Community, the Softball Community and Adam's friends to help his family.

Stop in this afternoon or this evening, make a donation. All money raised will be given to his wife and four small children.

A special fundraiser Dart Tournament in memory of Adam Dezan will be held at the ANAF Unit #318.
Today ,Saturday November 22. Details in the poster. Canteen will be open.
All proceeds from darts and the dance after will be donated to Adams family.

Army Navy Airforce Veterans in Canada Unit #318 is holding a food drive to benefit members of our community who need a little help during the holidays.

Next time you stop in at the Hut, bring a nonperishable food item and leave it in the bins at the entrance.

The Benevolent committee will make sure everything is handed out to those who need it.
