When anxiety shows up in your child, your words matter more than you think 🤍🌿

Instead of trying to “fix” the feeling, try offering safety:

✨ You are safe with me.
✨ It’s okay to feel your feelings.
✨ It’s okay to feel nervous.
✨ Let’s take some deep breaths together.
✨ We can talk through your worries.

These simple phrases help calm the nervous system, build emotional resilience, and remind your child they’re not alone in big moments. Anxiety can feel overwhelming for little bodies but a regulated parent becomes their safe place to land.

At Little Tree Psychology, we know parenting isn’t always easy. Big feelings, tough transitions, and anxious moments can leave you wondering if you’re responding “the right way.” You deserve support, too.

Parenting may be challenging, but you don’t have to face it alone. Reach out today to schedule a consultation. Let’s work together to navigate the ups and downs of parenting, discover practical strategies that work, and bring more calm and connection back into your family life.

You don’t have to do this alone. 🌿💛

A new month. A fresh page. A little more light in the mornings and a quiet promise of change in the air.

This month brings a couple gentle shifts:
⏰ Daylight Saving Time begins on March 8th: longer evenings and a reminder that brighter days are ahead.
🌷 The first day of spring arrives on March 20th: a fresh season, new growth, and softer beginnings.

March is that in-between space (not quite winter, not fully spring) where growth is happening beneath the surface.

May this month invite you to:
• embrace small, steady progress
• reset what needs resetting
• welcome the light — both around you and within you

Hello, March. We’re ready for you 🤍

Today we wear pink to stand against bullying and to stand up for kindness, empathy, and inclusion. Pink Shirt Day is a reminder that our words and actions matter—and that choosing compassion can make a real difference in someone’s life.

Everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, respected, and supported, whether at school, at work, or in their community. By showing up with empathy and speaking out against bullying, we help create spaces where everyone can belong. 💗

Hi, I’m Cassidy 🌿

I’m a Provisionally Registered Psychologist supporting teens (13+), adults, and couples at Little Tree. My work is rooted in creating a space that feels safe, steady, and genuinely supportive. A place where you can slow down and feel understood.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, infidelity, or addictions, we’ll approach your story with care and curiosity. I draw from CBT, EFT, and premarital counselling, always tailoring our work to fit you and not the other way around.

At Little Tree, we believe meaningful growth begins with feeling safe enough to be honest. Therapy doesn’t have to feel clinical or overwhelming. It can feel collaborative. Grounded. Human. We’ll move at a pace that feels manageable, building insight and practical tools while honouring your strengths along the way.

Reaching out can feel like the hardest step, especially when things already feel heavy. But you don’t have to carry it alone. My hope is that you leave sessions feeling seen, supported, and a little more confident in your ability to navigate what’s in front of you.

A little more about me: Outside of the office, I love reading. Stories have always felt like a refuge, a reminder that we’re not alone in our experiences.

If you’re ready to begin, we’re here. 🌱

At Little Tree Psychology, we support little ones, teens, adults, individuals, and couples 🌿

Starting therapy can feel like a big step — especially when it’s for your child. That’s why we take a warm, collaborative approach from the very beginning.

For child and teen intakes, parents typically meet with the clinician first (either for the full first session or the first 20–30 minutes). This gives us space to review confidentiality, fees, and how therapy will be structured — and to gently explore your child’s story. We’ll talk about school, friendships, family dynamics, interests, extracurriculars, and any challenging life experiences that may be impacting them.

Together, we begin to understand what’s underneath the behaviours and set meaningful goals as a team 🤍

Because no two children are the same, therapy is always tailored to your child’s unique needs. And especially for children under 10, parent involvement is a powerful part of the process. Small, intentional parenting shifts can create big change — and we’re here to guide you through that. Ongoing check-ins help us celebrate progress, adjust strategies, and continue moving forward with clarity and confidence.

You don’t have to navigate this alone. We walk alongside you every step of the way — nurturing growth, building resilience, and helping your child shine.

The way you speak to yourself, interpret challenges, and approach change matters. Small shifts in perspective can open the door to growth, resilience, and new possibilities — especially when life feels heavy or stuck.

Therapy can be a supportive space to explore your mindset, build self-awareness, and create patterns that better support you. We’re here when you’re ready to begin. 🧡

Therapy can feel intimidating, especially for children and teens. Taylor understands that, and she intentionally creates a warm, playful, and safe space where young people can show up fully as themselves (and even enjoy coming to sessions).

Her passion is working with children, youth, and families to build strong, collaborative therapeutic relationships that become the foundation for growth and meaningful change. Taylor practices from a trauma-informed, client- and family-centred lens, always prioritizing trust and safety in the therapy room.

Taylor is a Registered Social Worker in Alberta with a BSW from MacEwan University and an MSW with a Clinical Specialization in Infant, Child, and Adolescent Mental Health from the University of Calgary. She has years of frontline experience supporting children, youth, and families navigating trauma, abuse, sexual violence, neurodiversity, developmental concerns, and mental health challenges.

Outside the office, you can find her spending time with family and friends, hanging out with her dog Wilbur, hitting a spin class or run, and exploring local coffee shops and thrift stores. 🤍

If you’re looking for compassionate, specialized support for your child or teen, Taylor would be honoured to walk alongside your family.

When you walk through these doors, you’re stepping into a space created for care, compassion, and growth 🌱

A place where you don’t have to have it all figured out. Where your feelings are welcome, your story is heard, and you’re met exactly as you are.

Whether you’re carrying stress, grief, anxiety, or just the weight of everyday life, you don’t have to hold it alone. We’re here to walk alongside you—one step at a time.

If you’ve been thinking about starting therapy, this is your sign. 💚

Shame and guilt often take root early in life for many men, showing up as harsh self-criticism, perfectionism, emotional detachment, or people-pleasing. While these patterns once served as protection, they can impact relationships, emotional well-being, and our ability to show up fully as ourselves.

In this session, participants will explore how shame and guilt are shaped systemically and across generations, learn to recognize personal triggers and protective patterns, and take first steps toward greater presence, connection, and self-compassion.

Led by Graham Hall, CCC, this event offers a compassionate space for men—and those who support them—to better understand inner systems and begin healing from shame and self-criticism.

Hi, I’m so glad you’re here 🤍 My name is Kelcey, and I support children, teens, and youth (ages 13–19) through life’s big feelings and growing pains. With a background in teaching and school counselling, and over 8 years working in high schools, I specialize in teen mental health and understand just how overwhelming this stage of life can feel. You don’t have to navigate it alone.

✨ Kelcey supports teens with:
• Anxiety & depression
• Self-esteem & identity
• Grief & loss
• Relationship challenges
• Life transitions
• Family & home stressors

Kelcey offers a humanistic, person-centred counselling approach, grounded in building a strong, safe therapeutic relationship. Sessions may draw from CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy, with room for expressive arts and play-based techniques. Kelcey is also experienced in cross-cultural counselling and works affirmingly with all gender identities and sexual orientations.

At Little Tree, we believe growth happens when you feel seen, supported, and understood 🌿 Kelcey is honoured to walk alongside clients as they explore their strengths, build insight, and create a life that feels more like their own.

Outside the therapy room, you’ll find Kelcey watching food shows, cuddling her cats, reading YA fantasy, or planning her next adventure ✈️📚🐾
