Conference time!

After 3 years, we were finally able to hold conferences in person this year. Yesterday, the Edmonton region held their annual Care Coordinator Manager meeting in South Edmonton. Managers from all over the Edmonton region including Sherwood Park, St. Albert and Leduc were in attendance. There was a lot of learning completed with a bunch of laughs and fun added in to the mix.

It is so nice to finally see all of our managers smiling faces in person.

🌟Meet Devi McDonald, Registered Massage Therapist🌟

Devi graduated from MaKami College for Registered Massage Therapy in 2017. There, she developed an in-depth understanding of the musculoskeletal system and human anatomy. Devi has been using this knowledge to specialize in muscle rehabilitation and pain management. She has gained immense knowledge in the different orthopedic testing and therapeutic techniques and use this to better understand how to treat patients effectively without risk. Conditions Devi treats regularly are: Overuse Injuries (which is the most common), Musculoskeletal Injuries, Joint Dysfunction, Postural Dysfunction, Systemic Concerns as well as other Conditions like: Inflammatory arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Chronic fatigue syndrome, Diabetes mellitus, Gastrointestinal Concerns, and some Respiratory Pathologies.

In 2020, Devi completed training in The Graston Technique Level 1 & 2 which is ‘Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation’ (IASTM). This allows the release of tension and restricted movement, provides more range of motion in joints, and, can help aid in sprains all in less time, with less pressure, which could be a superior option for some people.

Some of her joys and interests in life outside of work are gardening, hiking, taking road trips, spending time with her husband and kids, kitten and dog. She has a passion for cooking and can cook up a mean soup. Bringing people together for celebrations and to eat brings happiness to Devi. She also really enjoys healing people through positive thinking, and body awareness.

To book with Devi, please call our clinic at 780-449-0544.
