I have clinical experience in both hospital and private practice settings. I've had the opportunity to work with various populations and conditions including: cancer survivors, chronic pain, seniors, MVA's, WCB's, surgical candidates, vestibular dysfunctions, and athletes.

🦵Shin splints can happen when muscles in your lower leg are not working efficiently. We can't blame one specific muscle, it's actually the entire lower extremity that needs to be assessed and treated. Our Physiotherapists will assess from the foot to the hip (and even the lower back) to figure out what's going on. Treatment is tailored to your body!

Hey Runners, it's time to start thinking about your spring training! We see a lot of running injuries pop up this time of year. Why you ask? Because people get excited about running outside after hibernating throughout the winter. So, what do we recommend? ⬇⬇

🏃Start with short runs and it's OK to go slow!
🏃🏾‍♀️Run more frequently, but not necessarily for longer distances. This helps your body get familiar with the load and demands when running.
🏃‍♂️Include strength training into your routine.

📣 𝗣𝗦𝗔: *𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱* 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗼!! Vestibular Rehab has been around for decades, but there is still a huge lack of awareness in the general public. So please help us spread the word! If you have vertigo, book an appointment with a vestibular-trained Physiotherapist to get it assessed. There are many different types of vertigo, so it's important to get a proper diagnosis to determine your treatment options.

⚖ Being your physiotherapist means balancing recovery and progression. Many factors are weighed when we determine the prognosis of an injury and the success of the rehab. Things like your previous injuries, time from the injury, general health, and strength are just a few things that we consider. Our Lemon Tree Health promise is to always look after your best interests and sometimes you may not like what we have to say.🤭

We will always provide education on your injury and the potential outcomes. And honestly, you may or may not take our recommendations. That's OK. We will give you the information to make an informed decision on your case. Don't worry, we won't kick you out if you decide not to follow our advice! But we do have permission to say "I told you so..." if something happens (just kidding!) 😉🫶

🎉SHE'S BACK!! Our Office Manager/Therapy Assistant, Heather, is back from maternity leave! She is our organization queen, admin powerhouse, and workplace bestie that keeps running smoothly! Additionally, she will be adding limited clinical hours to offer MyoStretch Therapy in the coming weeks!

We look forward to having Heather back in the clinic on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday's. 💛💛
