Loving someone in recovery isn’t about having all the right answers, it’s about showing up.
It can look like:
• Listening without trying to fix
• Setting healthy boundaries
• Celebrating progress (even when it’s quiet or imperfect)
• Choosing patience over judgment on the hard days
It’s not about perfection.
It’s about consistency, honesty, and care, more than saying the “right” thing.
And remember: supporting someone else also means taking care of yourself.
Love works best when it’s balanced.
“If you can’t love yourself, how will you love somebody else?”
