"A father with Down syndrome who worked in a factory for 25 years, raised his son to become a doctor and a beautiful human being.

Sader Issa, who studied dentistry in Syria, became a Down syndrome advocate, and shares his story of how he was raised by his father Jad.

According to Sader, his dad showered him with love and did the best that he could to make his childhood the same as any kids. Sader explained how his father is selfless and a real pillar of the community." ❤️❤️❤️

Reminder to everyone that Environmental Health Week begins Tuesday.
On the schedule is Graveyard Clean-Up -please bring whatever tools you can; rakes, lawn mower, grass whips, etc.
Wear a hat, in case it is sunny and if you can donate a food item for potluck. Let's do a good job and respect our loved ones who have gone on before us...
Also, there will be a needle sweep done by the Health Staff and volunteers, who will be shown proper way to dispose of used needles.
Let's keep our community of Ahtahkakoop beautiful! 🌻

Covid and FLU vaccine clinics Tuesday October 12th 10-3 and Friday October 15th from 10-2 at the clinic.

Please welcome the new Nursing Supervisor Tamara Eberts. She is moving across from Home Care as I am returning to frontline nursing. Also new in Sept were Steven Fraser and Alex Pond who are great additions to the nursing team! Thanks to everyone and hopefully I can return once in a while for baby clinic or whatever. ❤️
