HEAR! ARE SOME OF THE SIGNS OF HEARING LOSS!

Difficulty understanding speech: You have trouble understanding what people are saying, especially in noisy places or over the phone
Asking people to repeat themselves: You often ask people to repeat what they are saying

Turning up the volume: You need to turn up the TV or radio volume more than others do

Background noise: You have trouble understanding speech because of background noise

Mumbling: You think that others seem to mumble

High-pitched sounds: You have trouble understanding high-pitched sounds, such as "s" or "th"

Fullness in your ear: You have a feeling of fullness in your ear
Ear sounds: You hear a hissing, ringing, roaring, clicking, or buzzing sound in your ear when there's nothing making these sounds

Tiredness: You feel tired or stressed from having to concentrate while listening
"What?": You say “What?” a lot

Relying on others: You rely heavily on your spouse to "translate" for you
A healthcare provider can diagnose hearing loss by doing a physical exam, asking about your symptoms, and performing hearing tests.
